Even Superstars Get the Sues

Rapper Jay-Z was hit with allegations he failed to pay workers compensation for the staff working at his home. The NY Workers Compensation Board filed the matter in court until it was discovered the Comp Board made a clerical error and the famous recording artist did not actually owe the $18,000 that was alleged to have gone unpaid.
When you think about the rich and famous, workers compensation benefits are not really the first thing that comes to mind about their financial status but it does go to show that no one is excused from meeting their legal obligations where employment is concerned.
If you have ever worked for an employer that did not keep up with the workers compensation insurance and ended up injured while on the job, you need to fight for your legal rights for medical care and additional treatment. In these cases, having an attorney experienced in workers compensation law is vital to your health and welfare. If an employer tries to get you to work around the laws, it is in your best interest to seek legal guidance so you don’t end up on the wrong side of the law.
Contact our office for a free consultation if you have been injured on the job and your employer does not want to follow the proper protocol for workers compensation. We can be reached at 888-799-3918 or through our online contact form. Don’t jeopardize your health and well- being simply because someone else is trying to save some money.
