Helpful Discounts for Disabled Individuals at New York State Parks and Historic Sites

Disabled does not mean unable! Just because you are an individual with a disability does not mean that you cannot go out and try to do those things that you like to do! The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation offers a wonderful program for disabled individuals to obtain discounts around the Empire State at various Parks, Historic Sites, Golf Courses and so forth. An Access Pass permits residents of New York State with permanent disabilities, as defined in the application, free use of the parks, historic sites, and recreational facilities operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The pass holder may have free use of facilities operated by State Parks and DEC for which there is normally a charge.
