The village of Tuckahoe, New York is located in Westchester County, New York, about 30 minutes north of New York City. Tuckahoe became the site of a successful quarry, the Tuckahoe Marble Quarry, in 1818 after beautiful white marble was found in the village. This marble was used in the construction of many famous buildings, including New York City Hall, the New York Public Library, St. Patrick's Cathedral and even part of the Washington Monument in our nation's capital.
