American Chopper Death Shows That Workplace Safety is Key

Posted on Jun 18, 2010

Workplace safety is normally a key element at the motorcycle fabrication shop featured in American Chopper, a popular show that follows the Teutul clan.  But tragedy struck after a construction worker not featured on the program feel through the roof at a new facility.

It was planned to be the home of Paul Jr. Designs, after the son had a falling out with his father.  But no matter what construction safety precautions the worker may have taken, the 26-year-old employee fell through the roof to his death.  Authorities were called to respond to the scene.  None of the show's stars were on-site at the time of the accident.  Families of the deceased are eligible for worker's compensation death benefits.

Details of the accident haven't yet been disclosed.
