Another NY Workers Compensation Board Delay

Posted on Feb 10, 2009

NY WCB issued subject matter sn046-283 acknowledging that penalties for failing use  the new employers report of work injury (C2) by 1/1/09 will NOT be imposed until 4/1/09 since notifying all employers is a "huge task" - but the law has been in place two years!

REMEMBER - INJURED WORKERS are subject to caps on benefits and other requirements, yet fairly simple regulatory and adminsitrative changes that can affect the outcome of an injured workers case are being "put off" until a later date. The implementation of medical forms has also been delayed (medical forms delayed)

These delays could potential have significant ramifications for injured workers, employers and even the insurance industry!
