Employee Charged with Collecting Workers' Comp Benefits

Former New Yorker, Veronica McClendon, was  accused of collecting workers' compensation benefits while working at a Walgreens drug store in Virginia.  She has been ordered to pay $36,000 to the New York State Insurance Fund.
Ms. McClendon was receiving workers' compensation benefits after claiming a job-related injury prevented her from working.  She was charged with workers' compensation fraud.
