Head of State Workers' Compensation Board Quits

In the New York Times this past Saturday, N.R. Kleinfield writes another article on the resignation of Zachary Weiss as the Chairman of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board.  In this article, both Chairman Weiss and Governor Paterson state that Weiss was not aked to leave, rathere he accepted a higher-paying and more-secure job as an administrative law juge beginning this July.  Weiss commented, “It might seem like a step down for me, but it’s a really good job. You have an opportunity to make a very consequential decision in peoples’ lives.”  Read full article.
