The NYC Dept of Buildings investigates death of construction worker, Jozef Wilk, who fell from scaffolding into an elevator shaft while working on a demolition site at Columbia. A stop-work order was implemented immediately as the case is under investigation. Wilk was treated for cardiac arrest afther the incident but was declared dead upon arrival at St. Luke's Hospital. He is survived by his wife and two children.
