Twenty years ago, our government passed the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide laws that will ensure equality and fundamental rights to individuals living with a disability. The Washington Post is reporting that the Obama administration is in the process of proposing changes that will make everyday life a little easier for disabled Americans.
According to a white house press release, some of the changes include:
Creating easier access to kiosks and ATM's for individuals in wheelchairs
Providing access to 911 through internet-enabled access
Require movie theatres to show movies with closed captions
