Social Security - Recipient Statistics

Posted on Feb 08, 2010

The Old-Age and Survivors Insurance (OASI) program and the Disability Insurance (DI) program each disburse benefits to eligible retired or disabled workers and their dependents who have been covered by payroll
contributions.

Benefit payments are disbursed by the relevant trust fund. Retired workers and their eligible dependent family members, as well as the dependent family members of deceased workers, receive benefits from the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance trust fund. Disabled workers and their eligible dependent family members receive benefits from the Disability Insurance trust fund.  Break downs of recipients by trust fund, by entitlement, and by age and where they live are available.

If you are uncertain on obtaining benefits, Social Security Disability Attorneys can help you.  Call Markhoff & Mittman for a FREE consultation.
