With unemployment still at an all time high, many New Yorkers who have lost their jobs are turning to internships to help them acquire new skills as they struggle to re-enter the workforce. Among those Tripp Whetsell, reporter for The New York Daily News, interviewed was Beki Gibney of Williamsburg, Brooklyn who landed an internship to learn a new skill and has since been hired by the company as a part-timer.
