Worker Admits to Selling Goats While Receiving Workers' Comp Benefits

You think you've heard it all!  A Syracuse, NY woman, Susan Tansosch, was selling goats because she didn't have any other type of employment.  What she didn't let on was that she was collecting more than $60,000. in workers compensation benefits.  She now faces up to five years in prison and a fine up to $250,000.  Her sentencing is scheduled for August 4th.

Workers' Compensation is designed to provide medical care and lost wage benefits for injured workers.  The system is often plagued by workers' comp fraud.  And, it isn't always employees - it's employers who cheat the system as well.
